1,402 Deaths Later: Tracking Every Boss in Elden Ring

We’ve all seen the 'YOU DIED' screen more times than we can count. But I wanted to know exactly how many times, so I added a death counter to my Twitch chat and recorded my total deaths for each boss I defeated.

Before you see the full list, here is the damage report:

Total Bosses Defeated: 165

Total Deaths: 1,402

Average Deaths per Boss: 8.5

First-Try Victories: 62 bosses (37% of all fights)

The True Nemesis: Malenia (342 deaths - 24% of my total deaths came from her alone)

Despite being a total newcomer to the genre, I fell head over heels for Elden Ring. I’m currently tackling the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, sticking to a strict 'No Summons' rule.

If my death counts look high, keep in mind that I also have a terrible habit of ignoring helpful items. I’m playing this run completely unoptimised- just me and my weapon against the world.
